New Director of Clinical Care
The West Michigan Regional Cancer and Blood Center recently announced that Dr. Carol Peterson, MD, would take over as Director of Clinical Care. Dr. A. Soliman Behairy, MD, Director and Founder, will remain involved in the continued development of the clinic's long term vision and goals.
Dr. Peterson has been with the Cancer Center since 2006. She has a bachelor’s degree in cellular biology from the University of Michigan and also attended the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Peterson completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in oncology at Northwestern University and is board certified in internal medicine and oncology. She practiced in Joliet, Illinois for 20 years and was partner in the Joliet Oncology-Hematology Associates group.
