Support & Resources

Lakeshore Community Cancer Foundation

The Lakeshore Community Cancer Foundation is a charity established to help patients maintain quality of life throughout cancer care.  The charity is designed to provide financial support for qualifying cancer patients. In addition to the services available to the Lakeshore Community Cancer Foundation the Sally K. Johnson fund is a donor advised fund within LCCF and was set up at the West Michigan Regional Cancer and Blood Center by beloved patient, nurse, mother and grandmother, Sally K. Johnson before she passed away. Sally liked to call the project the “One Good Day Fund”, because she wanted to help patients see at least one good day while going through cancer. The fund helps pay for care to improve physical, emotional and social well-being, as well as improve patients’ time spent at the cancer and blood center. The Sally K. Johnson fund also helps to provide services which are not usually covered by your health insurance, including massage therapy, acupuncture, nutritional counseling, supportive care medications, psychiatric care and other projects in the scope of patient care and quality of life.

If you or someone you know could benefit from or would like to contribute to The Lakeshore Community Cancer Foundation or The Sally K. Johnson “One Good Day” Fund, please contact Paula W. at our office  231-757-1260 for more information about the charity.
